Trap is a pretty solid thriller that does a great job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. From the beginning, the movie knows how to build tension and pull you into its suspenseful world. I was hooked pretty quickly, even though a few things left me scratching my head.
One thing that stood out to me was when I spotted someone using crutches in the background. It was nice to see, but at the same time, I couldn’t help but wish there was more representation throughout the movie. It felt like a bit of a missed opportunity to bring more diversity to the story, especially since it was just a fleeting moment.
Another thing that caught my attention was the protagonist’s use of an iPhone. Now, I know that Apple doesn’t allow villains to use their products on-screen, so the whole time I was thinking, “Okay, this guy’s got to be a hero, right?” It was a bit of a spoiler in itself, which kind of took away some of the mystery. I kept waiting for the big twist, but in the end, it was just a bit confusing.
Speaking of the ending, that was probably the weakest part for me. After all the buildup, I was expecting a more impactful conclusion, but it just didn’t deliver the punch I was hoping for. It wasn’t terrible, but it felt like it didn’t quite match the tension that had been building throughout the movie.
Overall, I’d say Trap is worth watching if you’re into thrillers. It’s got some good moments, and it knows how to keep you engaged. I just wish there had been a bit more representation and a stronger ending. But all in all, it was a decent watch.
